CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF MIRACLES
The Church of Our Lady of Miracles at Sanguem is dedicated to Our Lady of Miracles.It was originally a military chapel built by the Portuguese Government and under the jurisdiction of the Zambaulim church
The Zambaulim church was built in 1758 and it collapsed in 1855.The every same year the Chapel of Sanguem was given a parochial status but baptism and marriages were registered in Tilamol Church.The Sanguem Chapel was under Tilamol Danery upto the year 1951.
Originally the Parish feast was celebrated on 4th Sunday of May.Since 2008 it has been preponed to the second Saturday of the month of May as the fourth Sunday falls on one of the solemnity and no feast of 'Our Lady' can be celebrated on the solemnity.
People of Sanguem are loving and God fearing.Every Friday,praise and worship is conducted in the church.The church is always packed and many Hindu and Muslim brothers also partake in the worship.In this place several people receive Miracles of healing and peace.
